Lampton School Newsletter: Week 23 2025-26
Posted on Mar 2nd 2026Monday 2nd March 2026
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
Welcome to our newsletter for the eighth week of the spring term 2026. It is week B, so year assemblies are taking place. The last round of pre-public examinations for year 13 started on Monday.
Thank you for your support last week with respect to the social media messages about red v blue antisocial behaviour outside of school. I am pleased to report that none of the behaviour being encouraged by these posts took place last Friday afternoon in the vicinity of Lampton School or indeed any other schools in the borough. All secondary schools in Hounslow are working together with each other and the police to ensure that students are kept safe and that the threatened behaviour does not occur. This week our central systems will be held as usual, as will other after school activities. The school does ask that parents/carers reiterate to their children that once they finish in school they must go straight home, avoiding Lampton Park and Hounslow High Street for this week in the first instance. As a school we will maintain a higher staff presence at the end of the day for the foreseeable future and will continue to work with colleagues across the borough to ensure safety for all students.
On Thursday we look forward to welcoming year 12 students and their families to parents’ evening from 16.00-19.00
During this short half-term, it is vitally important that students maintain 100% attendance and punctuality. I know that last week’s situation did cause some younger students to miss school on Friday; but school is safe for students to attend and we must ensure that this social media campaign does not have a detrimental effect on the education of students. If your child is concerned about this please contact our safeguarding team or their head of year and we can offer appropriate support.
Key dates:
| Thursday 5th March | Year 12 parents' evening: 16.00-19.00 |
| Thursday 26th March | Year 11 parents' evening: 16.00-19.00 |
| Friday 27th March | Term ends at 12.30pm for students |
With best wishes for the week ahead.

Year 12 Parents’ Evening – 05 March 2026
We look forward to meeting the parents of year 12 pupils on Thursday.
We consider it vital that all parents attend parents' evening. If you have not already made appointments to see your child’s teacher please contact rdhadli@lampton.org.uk and she can make appointments for you. Please check your emails for a schedule of appointments.
Please arrive five minutes before your first appointment and sign in; you will be given a pack containing your child’s report and other important information. Please keep to the appointment times. This helps to ensure the efficient running of the evening for all parents
Uniform reminders
- Blazers are to be worn at all times. They may be removed in lessons with the teacher’s permission. If a student is not wearing their blazer and has their blazer in their bag, a community service detention will be issued.
- Students must not wear hoods indoors. This includes the canteen.
- Ankle socks of any colour are not permitted. Students will be sent to Student Services to remove them and a community service detention will be issued.
Behaviour
There are some updates in regards to behaviour and persistently being removed from a lesson. If your child is removed from a lesson (what we call a parking) 3 time in a week they will stay behind for an after-school sanction until 16.10pm on a Friday. If students are persistently disruptive in lessons and do not follow our modes of learning they will receive the appropriate sanction. Please speak to your child about how they can engage in lessons and maximise their learning.
If you child has high behaviour points the head of year will be in contact to support. They will review behaviour points and will meet you and your child to ensure we have provided the necessary support. We will also set challenging targets so that your child is able to access the curriculum and make good progress.
Bullying
We have zero tolerance for bullying. We have very clear non-negotiables and if a child is involved in bullying, this includes using unkind words, then the appropriate sanction will be applied. Bullying is the repetitive, intentional hurting of one person or group by another person or group. Bullying can be physical, verbal or psychological. It can happen face-to-face or online. Please speak to your child to ensure they understand this and have a trusted adult in school they can speak to about it. Further guidance is here. Please continue to work with us and your child to ensure they are being open and feel safe in school.
