Exam Results

Lampton has an excellent track record of examination success. Over recent years, pupils between years 7 and 11 have made excellent progress which the Department of Education defined as "well above average" and this continued with our most recent cohort of students. In years gone by we have informed parents of our progress 8 score. However there will be no progress 8 score this year and next year due to the lack of SATs data from the pandemic. The Department for Education explored alternative options for producing a progress measure at key stage 4 for 2024-25 but concluded there would be “no replacement” to the progress 8 measure. In 2025, 54% of pupils achieved a grade 5 or above in English and Maths. This is above the 2024 national average of 46%.

Students also make very good progress in years 12 and 13. In 2025, we have provisionally achieved an Alps Grade 3 which means students made progress equivalent to the top 25% of schools. This progress was a result of students' excellent attainment. These results were some of the best in the London Borough of Hounslow with 32% of results were graded as an A* or A. Our students’ excellent A level results mean that they go on to study a wide range of subjects, including those in highly-competitive fields such as dentistry and medicine, and do so at prestigious institutions. This year, 5 of our students gained places to study medicine or dentistry and over half of our cohort secured places at one of the Sutton Trust’s Top 30 universities. These universities are statistically the most competitive universities to gain entry to.
