Options Evening 2026

The Options Evening gives parents/carers and students in Year 9 the chance to learn more about what studying certain subjects at KS4 at Lampton will be like. Together with the Options Evening event, the Options Booklet below ensures that parents/carers and students have a full understanding of how to select particular subjects of interest, what subjects the school has on offer this academic year as well as any entry requirements for particular courses.

KS4 Options for Y9 - OPTIONS EVENING PRESENTATION 20.1.2026

In addition to the presentations at Options Evening, there are a number of videos below in which our Subject Leaders explain the content and assessment of each course. The videos also contain information about the skills each course will develop and which careers they can lead to. The Option selection process will also be fully outlined and explained in 1:1 interviews with each student.

Timeline for KS4 Options 2026

  • From Wednesday 21 January until Friday 6 February, all students in Year 9 will meet with a senior member of staff to discuss the choice available and their preferred Options. Students are encouraged to talk to their family, form tutor and subject teachers both before and after this meeting to help them make an informed decision.
  • On Friday 6 February the Options form will go live on this webpage. It is a Google form, and students have until Friday 13 February to submit this.
  • On Friday 13 March students will be informed of their confirmed Options via Google Classroom.

We encourage you to explore this webpage fully, watch the subject videos and read our Options Booklet carefully before submitting your final options form online.
