Examination Success

We are a comprehensive Sixth Form with outstanding results – enabling students to make great progress throughout their studies and on to their chosen pathways.

The Sixth Form is consistently ranked in the top 10% of Sixth Forms for the academic progress they make, enabling our students to access the most prestigious universities places and the most competitive apprenticeships and school leaver programmes.

August 2018 Results:

Students and staff at Lampton have been celebrating outstanding results across a range of subjects that leave sixth formers progressing onto the most competitive courses and universities.  Overall, 54% of all grades were awarded A*-B, reflecting the significant progress that students have made throughout their studies. For students studying BTeC qualifications, 86% secured the very top grades of Distinction* or Distinction.

These grades enabled 152 students to take up places at university, of whom 31% will be going to Russell Group Universities and 54% of students will be going to ‘Sutton Trust Top 30’ Universities.  Three students will be heading to Oxford or Cambridge and a further two to study medicine.  Furthermore, several students have gained places on some highly competitive SLPs, where they will usually have the chance to gain a degree/ L4 qualification whilst working.  Students secured placements at Rolls Royce, KPMG and Visa amongst others.

“We are proud of these excellent results achieved by Lampton students, especially as all of the subjects are now the reformed A Levels. These results represent much hard work by the students, staff and incredible support from families. As a community we are pleased to celebrate the success of all students, but in particular those who have achieved Oxbridge places this year.”

Stephen Davis, Headteacher

“I am delighted by the results achieved by all students, as so many of them have worked so hard to fulfil their potential.   We place a real emphasis on developing character traits like a strong work ethic and emotional resilience, and these results from the fully linear courses proves that our students are among the best in the country.”

Rebecca Jackson, Director of Sixth Form
