The London West Alliance Teaching School
The London West Alliance Teaching School (LWATS) is coordinated through Lampton School in Hounslow, which is designated as a National Teaching School since 2011.
Our alliance of primary and secondary schools stretches from Slough and Hillingdon in West London through to schools in Lambeth, Westminster and Camden in Central London. It spreads over 9 London Boroughs and now enters its seventh year of operation.
The London West Alliance (LWA) is a Challenge Partners Teaching School. We share the Challenge Partners commitment to ‘genuine collaboration between equals’ and this commitment to collaboration drives the way we operate – with leadership of its work disseminate across the alliance. However, schools do not need to be member of Challenge Partners to benefit from the LWATS’s services.
There are three Directors:
- Stephen Davis, Executive Director (Headteacher, Lampton School School)
- Marie-Anne Lerègle, Managing Director (Assistant Head, Lampton School)
- Dr Lynne Isham, Acting Director of the lampton SCITT (Deputy Head, Lampton School)
Our office is based in Lampton School Academy, Lampton Avenue, Hounslow TW3 4EP. It is staffed throughout the day to collaborate with schools and answer queries.
There is a membership cost to Challenge Partners and the schools in our Alliance members of Challenge partners are called the HUB. However, schools do not need to be members of Challenge Partners to benefit from the LWATS’s services and we welcome new partners schools at any time.
