Lampton School Newsletter: Week 22 2025-26
Posted on Feb 23rd 2026Tuesday 24th February 2026
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
Welcome to our newsletter for the seventh week of the spring term. I hope you all had a relaxing half-term break.
It is week A, so whole school assemblies are taking place. These are being led by Ms Kapila (Deputy Headteacher) and members of the school council.
On Thursday 12th February the Department for Education issued the 16-18 performance tables for the summer 2025 results. I am pleased to report that Lampton achieved excellent results and topped the league table for the whole of the London Borough of Hounslow. This is an exceptional achievement! Congratulations to those students, their families and staff. Please paste the following link into your browser to take you to the league table:
We welcome back to Lampton Ms Bolton as Assistant Headteacher leading on personal development and enrichment.
This is a short half-term but a very busy one. In particular it is crucial for students in year 13 and year 11 with their upcoming public examinations. It is imperative that they have 100% attendance and punctuality between now and the end of term. Year 13 pre-public examinations start next Monday and year 11’s final parents’ evening is on 26th March.
Please see the uniform reminders below and ensure that your child/children are fully compliant so as to avoid a community service detention.
Key dates:
| Monday 2nd March | Year 13 pre-public exams begin |
| Thursday 5th March | Year 12 parents' evening: 16.00-19.00 |
| Thursday 26th March | Year 11 parents' evening: 16.00-19.00 |
| Friday 27th March | Term ends at 12.30pm for students |
With best wishes for the week ahead.
Stephen Davis
Headteacher
Uniform reminders
- Blazers are to be worn at all times. They may be removed in lessons with the teacher’s permission. If a student is not wearing their blazer and has their blazer in their bag, a community service detention will be issued.
- Students must not wear hoods indoors. This includes the canteen.
- Ankle socks of any colour are not permitted. Students will be sent to Student Services to remove them and a community service detention will be issued.
Help stop the spread of measles
London has seen an outbreak of measles and there have been four known cases in Hounslow (to date). The first symptoms of measles include: high temperature, rash, runny or blocked nose, sneezing, cough and red, watery eyes. If you or your child has a rash and you suspect it's measles, contact your GP and stay away from work, nursery or school for at least four days from when the rash first appears.
The best way to prevent the spreading of measles is to take the MMR vaccine. Please consider getting your child vaccinated to keep all children safe. It's also never too late to catch up with your MMR vaccination, so if you missed it as a child please contact your GP to arrange an appointment. Please click here for more information
