Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome to our newsletter for the tenth week of the Autumn Term 2025.  It is week B, so year assemblies are taking place. These will be marking anti-bullying week with this year’s theme being ‘the power for good’.

Last week all of year 7 took part in personal and community safety workshops facilitated by the police and ambulance service as well as an anti-bullying theatre production. Our enrichment programme is in full swing for students in all year groups. Please ask your child/children about the enrichment activities they are taking part in as part of their personal development.

Our attendance figures remain strong as a school, but please ensure that your child/children are punctual to school as well. Arrival after 08.40am results in a detention of 30 minutes at the end of the day. Arrival after 9.10am results in an absence for the whole morning being recorded and your child’s attendance figure dropping, as well as a detention being issued. From Monday 10th November, if your child is late on more than one occasion during the day, their time in detention will be extended to reflect this. Punctuality is a key life skill and a visible sign of showing respect to members of the school community. Lateness results in important minutes of learning being lost. Students must arrive in good time for the start of the school day and move with purpose between lessons. Thank you for your support and thank you to the significant majority of students who are already in excellent habits and are on time to school and lessons throughout the day.

Tuesday 18th November	Sixth Form Open Evening: 17.00-19.00
Friday 28th November	School closed: wellbeing day 3
Monday 1st December	School closed: wellbeing day 4
Thursday 4th December	Year 9 parents’ evening: 16.00 - 19.00
Thursday 11th December	Year 11 parents’ evening: 16.00 - 19.00
Monday 15th December	Year 10 pre-public exams commence
Friday 19th December	Term ends: students dismissed at 12.30
