Lampton School Newsletter: Week 7 2025-26
Posted on Oct 13th 2025Monday 13 October 2025
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
Welcome to our newsletter for the seventh week of the autumn term 2025.
It’s Week A so our whole school assemblies are taking place. These are being led by Ms Kapila (Deputy Headteacher) and focus on misinformation and disinformation and how students can manage their response to these issues.
This week sees the continuation of pre-public examinations (PPEs) for year 13 and year 11 begin their examinations at the end of this week. It is vital that students prepare seriously for these PPEs as they act as a key milestone in the preparation for the public examinations in the summer of 2026.
Year 8 and year 9 completed their core subject examinations last week and I am pleased to report that these were a success. Details of how results will be shared with families will follow in due course.
Our whole school attendance rate remains strong. As we move into the cold and flu season please click here for a blog from the Department for Education on how to keep your child/children healthy at this time of the year. Attendance and punctuality are the cornerstones of educational success, so it is important that children are in school on time every day.
Key dates for the remainder of this half-term
Year 11 PPEs begin on Friday 17th October. Students will be in lessons when not sitting examinations. The timetable can be found on the school website.
This half-term finishes at the end of Thursday 23rd October. Our first wellbeing day takes place on Friday 24th October followed by the half-term break. We return to school on Tuesday 4th November, following the second wellbeing day on Monday 3rd November.
Thank you for your continued support with our enhanced expectations about mobile phones. It is proving to be a success across all year groups and a benefit to students’ learning.
With best wishes for the week ahead.
Stephen Davis
Headteacher
Flu vaccinations for students
Please read this information from the London Borough of Hounslow school nursing team about vaccinations (nasal spray and injection) available at Lampton School.
Equipment
Please can you check and make sure your child has all the necessary equipment. We want all students to develop good routines by getting to the habit of packing their bag the night before the come to school. Please see this checklist. If students do not have any of the relevant equipment, they can purchase it from the equipment shop during form time. Failure to have appropriate equipment including exercise books will result in a detention after school.
If your child does not have the correct uniform, they need to get the items they do not have from student services before school. Students will have to had in an item of value in exchange for an item of school uniform. They will also have to attend a detention after school for not having the correct uniform.
Please contact your child’s Head of Year if you need support with uniform.
