Lampton School - Week 28

Monday 22nd April 2024

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome to our newsletter for the second week of the Summer Term 2024. It’s Week B and year assemblies are taking place each day.

Tomorrow, we look forward to welcoming Y8 students and their families tomorrow afternoon for their Celebration Evening. The event starts in the Dining Hall with light refreshments and a chance to talk informally to staff and then moves to the Hall for the main event.

This week students in Y12 will be sitting their Pre-Public Examinations (PPEs) and well done to students in Years 7, 8 and 9 who sat their formal examinations in the core subjects last week. This is all good preparation for the Public Examinations which start this year in just over two weeks time on Thursday 9th May 2024. Students in Y11 and Y13 do not have a minute to waste so that they are truly prepared to achieve their very best in these examinations. The exam timetable can be found on the school website on the examinations page.

At Lampton, our expectations with regard to behaviour extends beyond the school gates. We expect students to represent the school in a positive manner in the local community. When school ends, students in all year groups must leave the vicinity of the school as quickly as possible. Students must not congregate in groups in the local streets - duty staff will disperse students each day. Please support the school by reminding your child/children of our expectations. Thank you for your support.

With best wishes for the week ahead.

Stephen Davis

Safeguarding Briefing: Early Help Services - Guide for Parents

The Hounslow Early Help Offer is a collection of services which aim to provide effective support to families as soon as difficulties start, to prevent them from getting worse. These services cover a range of areas, from parenting to health to education to specialist support for teenagers.

Practitioners in these services will discuss with families where things are working well and where they need extra support. They will help families to move forward and to access additional services where these may be able to help.

If you would like support in accessing these services please contact the Safeguarding team safeguarding@lampton.org.uk. View information on the Hounslow Early Help Offer
