Lampton School Newsletter: Week 32 2025-26

Posted on May 18th 2026

Monday 18th May 2026

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome to our newsletter for the sixth week of the summer term 2026 and the final week of our academic year 2025-26. When we return after the half-term break, all year groups will be promoted. Year7 become year 8, year 8 become year 9 etc. and start their timetables for our academic year 2026-27. It is week B and year assemblies focusing on praise and celebration will take place.

The Public Examinations continue this week and a reminder that all papers are preceded by a pre-examination briefing for students. This affords an opportunity to be reminded of exam techniques and important reminders about exam rubric. Please ensure that your child makes the most of these opportunities by attending these briefings. They start at 08.20 for morning exams and 12.50 for afternoon exams.

On Tuesday and Wednesday this week we look forward to welcoming our new year 7 cohort starting in September 2026 and their families for their ‘getting to know you’ interviews.

Each year we ask members of our school community to complete a survey about Lampton School. Thank you to parents who have taken 10 minutes to complete our annual survey. If you have yet to, we would appreciate your feedback. The survey can be accessed via this link, before the end of the half term.

Finally, a reminder that Monday 1st June is an INSET Day, so the school site will be closed for students, other than those sitting examinations that day. Term begins on Tuesday 2nd June at 8.40am with registration and it will be Week A. New student timetables will be issued prior to the break.

Please see below the dates of key events happening in school this half-term:

Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th May    Primary transfer interviews
Monday 25th - Friday 29th May Half term
Monday 1st June INSET day and start of new academic year

With best wishes for the week ahead and a restful half-term break.
