Lampton School Newsletter: Week 32 2024-25
Posted on Jun 2nd 2025Monday 2nd June 2025
Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
Welcome to our newsletter for the sixth week of the Summer Term 2025 and the first week of our Lampton academic year 2025 -26 - all students in years 7 -12 have been promoted to their new groups and the new timetable has commenced. In period 1 on Tuesday 3rd June the whole school participated in a lesson about our school’s learning routines and expectations which apply for all year groups and in all subjects. Please ask your child/children about this.
It is Week A, so whole school assemblies are taking place and are being led by me and Mr Bates (Deputy Headteacher) about smartphones. This is an introduction to our new policy on smartphones in school which will be launched in September. You will be receiving more information about this in the coming weeks.
The Public Examinations are continuing with both Y11 and Y13 on study leave when they are not sitting examinations.
Advanced dates for this half-term:
| Tuesday 10th June | Year 13 & year 10 celebration evenings |
| Tuesday 1st July | Primary transfer day and parents’ evening |
| Thursday 3rd July | Creative arts/art and design summer showcase |
| 7th -10th July | Sports days |
| Wednesday 16th July | Whole school sponsored walk |
| Tuesday 22nd July | Term ends at 12.30pm |
Finally, please see below for the link to our annual survey which I would be grateful if you could complete as it really helps us with our school improvement planning.
With best wishes for the week and half-term ahead.
Stephen Davis
Headteacher
Parent Survey
Please take 10 minutes to complete our annual survey to let us know what we do well and what we need to improve. Students and staff are also being surveyed over the next few weeks. The results will be shared with trustees and inform our school improvement priorities for the year ahead.
