Core Level Training (SCHS)

Location: Lampton School, Lampton Avenue, Hounslow, TW3 4EP
Time: 09:00 - 15:30

Dates: Thursday 2nd October 2026 | Thursday 11th February 2027

Cost: £230 - Includes the cost for Design & Technology Association (DATA) certificate and a light lunch.

Programme: Will cover basic H&S awareness in a range of D&T environments, the importance of CLEAPSS and how it can be used, as well as the British Standard which applies to machinery and workshops in a Design and Technology context.

Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate from the Design and Technology Association (DATA) will be issued.

Your Commitment: Full attendance for the training day is required and you will need to put a portfolio of work together which will need to be submitted to the trainer no later than four weeks after the course date.

Our Commitment: High quality training will be provided, ensuring that all criteria for successful assessment, in line with DATA certification, are met. Access to workshop tools and equipment that comply with BS4163:2014 will be available.

Eligibility: This course is open to all. The Design and Technology Association (DATA) recommends that Design and Technology (D&T) teachers, as well as site staff who may use workshop tools and equipment, undertake this training.

Terms and Conditions / Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made up to 15 working days prior to the course start date will incur no charge. Cancellations made within 15 working days of the start date will be charged in full. This includes non-attendance. Bookings made within the 15 working day cancellation period are final and non-refundable.
