Cost: £240 - Includes cost for Design & Technology Association (DATA) certificate     

Programme: This course will cover specific health and safety hazards in a workshop environment and consider ways in which these could be minimised. Hazards associated with common chemicals, subject specific machinery, and processes used within and around the classroom will also be addressed. Machines covered: Drilling Machine, Sanding Machine, Portable power tools (Drill & Sander), Power Fret Saw, Hand Tools, Plastics Moulding Equipment.

Outcomes: Upon successful completion of the course, a certificate from the Design and Technology Association (DATA) will be issued.

Your Commitment: Full attendance for the training day is required.

Our Commitment: High-quality training will be provided, ensuring that all criteria for successful assessment, in line with DATA certification, are met. Access to workshop tools and equipment that comply with BS4163:2014 will be available.

Eligibility: Anyone is eligible for this course. It is recommended by DATA that all teachers of Resistant Materials complete this training every five years or more often if they do not teach it very often. This is the ‘full course’ and not the ‘refresher’.

Terms and Conditions / Cancellation Policy: Places cancelled up to 15 working days prior to the start of the course no charge. Places cancelled less than 15 working days prior to the start of the course will be subject to the full delegate fee, which will also apply in the event of non-attendance. Any bookings made within the cancellation period are final.
