Academy Admissions
Essential information
As Lampton School is heavily oversubscribed, if you would like your child to join our school community it's important to follow the process outlined on these pages. Although we are an academy, in common with nearly all other Hounslow schools, our admissions are handled by the local authority.
If you are applying for entry at the start of Year 7, then please make an application to London Borough of Hounslow using this form, adhering to the timelines. If you would like to join the waitlist for an in-year admission, please use this form.
Admissions Process
The process of transferring between primary and secondary school begins in the Autumn Term preceding the year of transition.
To help facilitate this process, parents and carers should use London Borough of Hounslow's Secondary School Transfer document and application form issued to their child and available on London Borough of Hounslow's website.
National offer day is Wednesday 2 March 2026. For admissions in September 2026 appeals will be administered by Lampton School Academy Trust.
Admission arrangements for 2026-27
The admissions arrangements were considered by the School Trustees’ Admissions Committee of Lampton School Academy Trust (Admission Authority) in January 2026 and the arrangements for the academic year 2026-27 were determined. The determined arrangements are in the documents section below along with current and previous years arrangements.
The arrangements have been sent to the Local Authority and are published here on the school website (see document links below) in advance of the 16 March 2026 deadline.
Open Evenings and Mornings
We hold an Open Evening each Autumn Term when parents, carers and children visit our school to experience Lampton life. This event includes an introduction from our Headteacher, a tour of our facilities and a chance to speak to our staff.
