Christmas Jumper Day – Supporting Dalit Children

Christmas Jumper Day - Supporting Dalit Children

On 19th December 2013 Lampton School had a non-uniform day with a difference. Instead of wearing school uniform, it was Christmas jumper day! Staff and students entered into the spirit of things, and a wonderful array of Christmas jumpers were on display, as well as plenty of tinsel to make things more festive.

At lunch time we had a Lampton Christmas market, students organised stalls and we had face painting, henna, and computer games. There was lots of lovely food and drink to buy, and some Christmas singing by staff and students.

We raised £1,276.18 enough to sponsor seven children at Loyola School in Manvi, India for one year. The sponsorship will make a huge difference to the lives of the children as they will have access to high quality education that will open up opportunities for them which otherwise would not have been possible. A huge thank you to everyone involved.
