Lampton News - Week 9

Posted on Nov 1st 2021

Monday 1st November

Dear Parents, Carers and Students,

Welcome to our weekly update for the ninth week of the Autumn Term 2021. I hope that you are all keeping safe and well and enjoyed the half-term break.

Vaccinations:

thank you to those students who returned their vaccination consent forms. If you have still not done this, tomorrow morning is the final deadline for these. As a reminder, the NHS team is due on site this week to administer the vaccination and students will be given the Pfizer jab.

Our local Public Health colleagues have predicted that with the weather changing, this half-term could see an increase in local Covid rates. It therefore remains vital that all members of the school community complete their twice weekly lateral flow tests and those who travel to school on public transport, ensure that they wear a face covering for their journey.

Y11 PPEs:

As communicated before half-term, these will now take place from Monday 8th November 2021.

Consistency focus:

A reminder that the Lampton School bag is a compulsory part of the school uniform for all students in Years 7 - 11. These are available to purchase from School Bells either in person or online. We will be carrying out spot checks on this during this half-term and those non-compliant with this rule will receive a telephone call from the school and a sanction.

Also, we will be sending further details about the appropriate shoes which are acceptable for school. As a guideline, shoes must be plain black, not boots and not trainers. Again, we will be carrying out spot checks during the course of the half term.

Thank you for your support in ensuring that your child is correctly attired for school, that they wear their uniform smartly, with pride and are excellent ambassadors for the school.

With best wishes for the week ahead,

Stephen Davis
